Dean K. Jue

Dean K. Jue is the Director of Spatial Analysis, Research, and Training at the Florida Resources and Environmental Analysis Center of Florida State University. He was the 1999 winner of LITA's and OCLC's 1999 Frederick G. Kilgour Award for Research in Library and Information Technology. As was noted at that time by Michael Gorman, LITA President, "Jue was selected in recognition of his achievements in developing new technology applications to improve public library service, in enhancing the technical literacy skills of public librarians, in research into public library use and services, and in the use of geographic information systems (GIS) to assemble and map data that has been of great benefit to public libraries in poor and/or minority areas."
