Adrienne Breznau

Adrienne has been a prison librarian for the past three years and recently received a promotion to the position of Librarian II at the Denver Women's Correctional Facility Library in Colorado. She enjoys riding her bike, camping, reading, traveling, and driving around in her happy yellow Jeep. As a member of the Emerging Leaders Class of 2012, Adrienne is excited to work with fellow librarians in all fields to advocate for incarcerated individuals.

Jovanni Lota

Jovanni Lota

Jovanni is currently an Instruction and Reference Librarian as well as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston-Downtown. Her accomplishments include: 2008 Spectrum Scholar; she is a 2010 Discovering Librarianship recruiter for ALA; she is the 2011/2012 chair of the Spectrum Scholar Interest Group; and a 2012 Emerging Leader.

Heather is proud to be a member of the 2012 class of ALA's Emerging Leaders. She currently is the Internet Services Coordinator (aka Webmaster) at the County of Los Angeles Public Library, but will be starting a new position at Indiana State University as the Emerging Technology Librarian in August.

Shannon Rosenbaum

Shannon Rosenbaum

Shannon is currently a student with San Jose State University, studying for her MLIS as a Circle of Learning Scholar. She has been sponsored by the American Indian Library Association as an Emerging Leader and is enjoying the program. Currently she is working as Reading Support for a local elementary school through the AmeriCorps program. In 2010, Shannon was awarded the Burke Museum's Archaeological Research Collections Fellowship and has since decided to go into the field of archives and cultural preservation. One of her major goals is to fuse her experience in children's education with her passion for tribal history and culture.
