Charge

Formal committee charges are forthcoming from the GLBTRT steering committee. Previous GLBTRT bylaws contained procedural language which served as charges for each committee. Since the round table as adopted new bylaws, without procedural language, formal charges must be drafted and adopted.

Composition

The Fund Raising Committee consists of about five members appointed from round table membership, serving two year terms, and led by a chair.

Description

The Fund Raising Committee helps sustain the GLBTRT by securing funding beyond member dues. Funds raised by the committee cover round table expenses and go towards the endowment for the Stonewall Book Awards. Donations are welcome and encouraged. Checks may be sent to the ALA/Development Office, 50 E. Huron Street, Chicago, IL 60611, made out to ALA, or you may charge your gift to your credit card. Note clearly that your donation is to the GLBTRT.  (This description will be removed when all round table committees are issued formal charges.)
