About the Best Friends Awards
The ALTAFF Best Friends Awards recognize Friends around the country for their print and electronic materials that promote the group and its special programs and projects. The awards do not evaluate the type or scope of Friends programs, rather the printed materials that promote programs and special projects coordinated by the Friends.

This award is given out on an annual basis.
Eligibility
Applicant group must have an ALTAFF Friends group membership valid through June 2012. Please contact ALTAFF to verify your eligibility prior to preparing your entry.
ALTAFF staff, board members, and their Friends groups are not eligible.
Application Instructions
You may submit up to two (2) items per category except print newsletters, for which (1) entry may be submitted. Materials must have been produced and/or in use during 2011.
For each entry include the following:
- Five (5) printed originals.

Selection Criteria
