Arthur Curley Memorial Lecture
Arthur Curley served as president of the American Library Association in 1994-1995 and was director of the Boston Public Library. He was a champion of the arts and of the library’s role as a center that can transform the community. The lecture series commemorates his lifelong dedication to the principles of intellectual freedom and free public access to information. Mr. Curley was an ALA member for more than 30 years.
