Public Service Award
From 1989 through 2008, FOLUSA presented the Public Service Award annually to a legislator who has been especially supportive of libraries. In 2009, the award was continued under ALTAFF. No award was given in 2010. The first award was presented in 1989 to Congressman Major Owens (D-NY), the only librarian serving in Congress.
