ALSC on ALA Connect
ALA Connect is the official online network for the American Library Association and the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC). All ALA members have access to ALA Connect. Members are encouraged to use ALA Connect for committee work, collaboration, brainstorming, networking, and creating meaningful career connections.
Using ALA Connect
ALA Connect is easy--every current ALA member already has an account set up in ALA Connect! Your ALA username and password will grant you access to ALA Connect.
Learn more about ALA Connect by visiting the Help section which features FAQs and questions from members.
ALSC encourages members to use ALA Connect in their ALA-related tasks. To support the work of members, ALSC has created videos and handouts to help members navigate ALA Connect. Check out these resources below:
Setting your ALA Connect notifications and profile information
Members of committee and other organized groups will want to make sure that their notification settings are correctly set. By verifying your profile information on ALA Connect, you can save a lot of time and headaches. Learn how to set your notifications and edit your profile with the helpful PDF below.
Posting conference minutes
ALSC committee chairs are responsible for posting minutes from meetings to their committee's ALA Connect space. Doing so ensures that current members and future committees have access to this information going forward. To help members through the process ALSC created the video below and a handout which explains the process.
