ALA Connect is the official online network for the American Library Association and the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC). All ALA members have access to ALA Connect. Members are encouraged to use ALA Connect for committee work, collaboration, brainstorming, networking, and creating meaningful career connections.

Using the New ALA Connect
The new ALA Connect is easy to use! Every current ALA member already has an account set up in ALA Connect. Your ALA member username and password will grant you access to ALA Connect.

Updating Your Profile and Interests
The first features to explore are associated with the ALA Connect profile. Build your profile to network with individuals who: work in the same field, live/work in your surrounding areas, or share similar interests. Learn how to update your profile to get the most out of the new platform with the helpful PDF below.
Posting files such as minutes, agendas, and other committee documents
ALSC committee chairs are still responsible for posting minutes from meetings to their committee's ALA Connect space. Doing so ensures that current members and future committees have access to this information going forward. The PDF below will help members through the process.
