Social Networks

In order to connect, communicate, share, and build relationships with members, ALSC maintains a presence in a wide variety of social media and online platforms. The way in which the organization interacts with these platforms is different, but the intended effect for ALSC to support and grow its membership.

ALA Connect

ALA Connect is a common virtual space for all members to engage in ALA business and network with other members around issues and interests relevant to the profession. Tips and information from ALSC about using ALA Connect.

Blog

All ALSC members are invited and encouraged to participate in the ALSC blog.  Post about your creative programming ideas or the other fun things going on at your library.  Not into posting?  Not a problem!  Continue the conversation started by someone else by simply commenting on posts.   

Electronic Discussion Lists

ALSC electronic discussion lists have been retired. Visit the EDL page for tips on how to engage in ALA Connect. 

Facebook

You can stay in-contact with ALSC on our Facebook page.  Benefits of the page include being able to send updates to fellow fans, write notes, participate in a discussion board, upload photos and videos, and leave posts on the wall.

ALSC is tweeting! ALSC can be found on Twitter by searching @WeAreALSC. Our tweets address up-coming events, benefits to members, news from libraryland, and the odd, entertaining piece of trivia! Every second Thursday of the month at 9pm Eastern, ALSC hosts the #alscchat Twitter discussion. You're invited to join in!
