Popular Picks for PreTeens Implementation Questions Task Force
Charge
To address questions raised by recent review of the 2007 ALSC Popular Reading for School-Age Children Task Force’s final report. The task force will resolve the questions and issues presented on the subsequent outline (ALSC Board AC 2012, DOC #22 and Board Questions) regarding policies and procedures for a possible future committee’s work. The task force will submit recommendations for the ALSC board to consider at the 2013 Midwinter Meeting (report is due 3 weeks prior to the meeting). The Chair, or a designee appointed by the chair, will attend the Board meeting and be prepared to answer questions from the Board.

Composition
The Popular Picks for Preteens Implementation Questions Task Force consists of five (5) virtual members including the chair. The chair will be required to attend the 2013 Midwinter Meeting. Term of appointment: July 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013 (or until dismissed by the Board).

The Task Force was established in June 2012 at the request of the ALSC Board of Directors.
