Composition

The Notable Children’s Digital Media committee, a virtual committee, consists of 9 members appointed from the ALSC membership at large, serving 2-year terms and led by two committee co-chairs (2 co-chairs +7).

Origin

Established in 1999 as the 700+ Great Sites Task Force at the request of the ALSC Board of Directors. In 2002, at the request of the ALSC Board of Directors, the Notable Children's Web Sites committee was merged into the Great Web Sites committee. In 2016, due to emerging technology trends, the Board approved the evolution of the work of this committee to include digital media.
