Children are the future, and as a children's librarian, YOU are directly involved in shaping that future! With around 600 student members and 4,000 professional members, the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) is your outlet for growing professionally, developing a network, and learning from your peers.
Student members get all of the benefits of professional ALSC membership but for a fraction of the cost. Student members pay only $20 a year, in addition to their ALA student membership. Join ALSC members across the country for our free, one-hour virtual workshops. ALSC Student Sessions are hosted by the ALSC Membership Committee and directed specifically at students, but open to all members and non-members with an interest in children's library services. Starting in 2015, these sessions will be held twice a year.
ALSC offers resources for professors of library and information science that will help classes and students dig deeper into the field of library service to children.
