We Are ALSC Chats (WAAC)

We Are ALSC Chats were created to build community within children's librarianship. Led by ALSC Committees, these informal chats (held on Zoom or Twitter) are open to members and non-members and are designed to be online networking sessions for resource sharing and discussion around timely topics in children's services. Please note, because of the casual nature of these sessions, they are not recorded or archived. A summary of notes may be provided, should the responsible committee choose.

Upcoming Chats:

Upcoming chats will be displayed in the chart below. If the chart reads as empty, there are no chats scheduled yet, but please be on the look out for future dates!

For ALSC Committees:

If your committee is interested in hosting a chat, please submit a request form. Please allow the ALSC office five days to respond to your request.

Please note, as members of an official ALSC committee, all of your work represents ALSC and should meet the goals of the association. As We Are ALSC Chat moderator(s), topics discussed or questions asked should not compromise the integrity of ALA/ALSC (please note the ALA Bill of Rights and the ALA Code of Ethics) or sacrifice the objectivity of the division in regards to its book and media awards.

Please reach out to Elizabeth Serrano, ALSC Membership and Marketing Specialist, with any questions.
