ALSC hosts regular online discussion sessions for members called Community Forums. These forums are held on Zoom. During the forum participants can chat live with members of the ALSC Board, ALSC President, fellow ALSC members, and presenters. Members who cannot participate in the live chat can submit questions via email (Elizabeth Serrano, firstname.lastname@example.org) or Twitter (use the hashtag #alscforum). A transcript is also provided after the chat is finished.

ALSC Community Forums hosted between 2011-2013 are also available for viewing. Forums held in 2011-2012 were hosted via text chat in ALA Connect. 2013 forums were held in Adobe Connect. ALA log-in is required to access all prior forums.
Accessing Upcoming Forums
Prior to the forum, ALSC members will receive an email with a URL link to register for the forum. Gmail users: please check your "Promotions" tab. Many ALSC emails go to this filter, so please check for it there. Only current ALSC members will have access to register for the forum.
- Prior to the forum, ALSC members will receive an email with a URL link to register for the forum. You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom on accessing the forum via web or dialing in.
- Participants will be allowed to enter the room 5 minutes prior to the start time.
- Emails will only be sent to personal ALSC members. As these forums are a benefit to members, ALSC asks that you do not share the link with anyone else.
