*Only registrations postmarked by June 30, 2016 will be eligible for the Early Bird rate.
**Group registration is for ALSC members only. A total of 7+ registrations qualify for the group rate. Group registrations should be submitted via the paper registration form.
 
We know that cost is one of the biggest factors in determining Institute participation, and therefore ALSC tries to keep the price of attendance as low as possible.
 
Housing is not included with cost of registration. Please visit our Institute housing section for a special rate at the Charlotte Marriott City Center. Registration fee includes Thursday dinner, Friday breakfast, and Saturday breakfast.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is limited. Paper registration deadline is August 26, 2016. Substitutions are welcome at any time. Otherwise, registration cancellations must be made in writing and postmarked or faxed by August 26, 2016. Cancellations will results in a full refund less $50 processing fee. No phone cancellations will be accepted. Refunds will be processed after October 7, 2016. No refunds will be given after the registration deadline date for any reason other than hospitalization or death. In the case of hospitalization or death of registrant or immediate family member, including parent, sibling, spouse or child, ALSC will refund registration fees paid, minus a $50 handling fee. Proof of hospitalization and/or funeral services must be attached to refund letter. These workshops are on a cost-recovery basis. ALSC reserves the right to cancel the Institute, or any portion of, if there is insufficient registration or for other reasons. Neither ALA nor any of its divisions are responsible for cancellation charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies, or other losses incurred in the cancellation of the Institute.

ALSC knows that you have a lot of options when it comes to in-person events and conferences. ALSC also knows that library budgets are tight and that it can be difficult to convince your supervisor to let you attend an event like the 2016 ALSC National Institute.
