In surveys of past Institute attendees, respondents often list making connections as one of most important reasons for taking part in this conference. ALSC Connection is a group of events that bring attendees together for fun and networking. These are free, team-building events that give you a chance to unwind and enjoy the company of your fellow Institute-goers.

Tweeting about the Institute? Make a connection via Twitter by using the hashtag #alsc14 when discussing the 2014 ALSC National Institute. ALSC on Twitter (@alscblog) and look for tweets about Institute.
ALSC will be posting updates and pictures to the ALSC Facebook account. Participant should feel free to submit their photos to the ALSC wall.
Another great way to follow the Institute is to keep up with the ALSC Blog. Throughout the conference attendees will be micro-blogging about their experiences.
Registrants are encouraged to participate in the 2014 ALSC National Institute ALA Connect community. This is a place for presenters to share their slides and more resources from their topics as well as a forum for continued discussion of Institute ideas and suggestions. This is a closed community that is intended for registered participants only; after registering participants may request admission to the group using their ALA ID. To take part in the group, non-ALA members must first create an ALA Connect account.
