ALSC and YALSA Joint Presidents’ Program: The Digital Lives of Tweens and Young Teens
This year ALSC and YALSA will offer a joint presidents’ program on Monday, June 25, 2012 from 8:00 – 10:00 am. The Digital Lives of Tweens and Young Teens will feature two dynamic speakers, Stephen Abram, MLS and Michelle Poris, Ph.D., who will talk about this population in relation to libraries. A short video presentation will directly follow.
Newbery-Caldecott Banquet
Join us for this gala to celebrate the Newbery and Caldecott Medalists and Honorees, authors and illustrators of the year’s most distinguished books for children. Cocktails (cash bar) available prior to dinner; doors open at 6:45 p.m. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Register Now!
Individual tickets are $94 each. If you wish to order one or more individual tickets, you may do so via regular conference registration at http://www.alaannual.org/. Event code for individual tickets: ALS1.
Table reservations (seats 10) must be placed through the ALSC office. Please complete the reservation form found on the Banquet table reservations page. Please note, if you order 10 tickets through ALA Registration, you will be placing an order for 10 individual, open-seating tickets.

2013 Annual Conference
June 27- July 2, 2013: Chicago, IL
ALSC is now accepting program proposals for the 2013 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago. Fill out the online Program Proposal Form to submit your program; please refer to the 2013 Program Proposal Information guide for information about the process. (The 2013 Program Proposal Information guide is also availabe as a webpage if you are unable to download the document.) All applications must be received by Friday, June 1, 2012. Contact Angela Nolet, chair of the ALSC Program Planning committee, with questions.
