Notable Children's Books- Current list
Each year the Notable Children's Books Committee selects the best of the best in children's books. These books are of commendable quality, books that exhibit venturesome creativity, and books of fiction, information, poetry and pictures for all age levels (birth through age 14) that reflect and encourage children's interests in exemplary ways.
Tween Award Book List - February 2012
The 2011-2012 School Age Programs and Services Committee compiled this list of the 2012 ALSC award winners that are suitable for tweens, ages 10-14.
Great Early Elementary Reads - December 2011
The ALSC 2011-2012 School-Age Programs and Services Committee recommends these titles for children who are just learning to read and beginning to read on their own. The books included were published between 2009 and 2011. However, many are part of a larger series that young readers will also enjoy.
