Electronic Discussion List Subscriptions/How to Manage Your Lists
To manage your existing ALSC discussion list subscriptions and/or to subscribe to additional lists, you must set up a login and password in Sympa. Go to http://lists.ala.org and click on the "First login?" link on the drop-down Login menu at the top right side of the page, fill in the requested information, and send. You will receive a login/password by e-mail. Then, you're ready to go!
To subscribe to any of ALSC's lists, go to http://lists.ala.org, login, and click on the “Browse lists by categories” link on the drop-down “Search for List(s)” menu at the top of the page. Find the ALSC link under the "ALA Divisions" heading. When the lists are displayed, click on the name of the list that you'd like to join to access the list's main webpage. Then click on the "Subscribe" link on the left-hand side of the page. That's it!
To manage the lists you’re subscribed to (e.g. set digest mode, access list archives, unsubscribe, etc), follow the steps above to reach the main webpage for a particular list. There you will find helpful links such as: Subscriber Options, Unsubscribe, Archive, Post, etc.
