ALSC Book Award Seals on E-book Versions Task Force

Charge

To explore impacts on ALSC award terms and criteria as a result of allowing licensing of existing book award seals to appear on E-book versions of award winners and honors that are administered exclusively by ALSC (Batchelder, Caldecott, Geisel,  Newbery and Sibert).  The task force will seek member input.  The task force is to refer to ALSC Board AC 2012 , DOC#23 for background information and Board Notes.  The task force will submit recommendations for the ALSC board to consider at the 2013 Annual Meeting (report is due 3 weeks prior to the meeting). The Chair, or a designee appointed by the chair, will attend the Board meeting and be prepared to answer questions from the Board.

Composition

The committee consists of five (5) virtual members including the chair. If all committee members will be attending 2013 Midwinter, the task force may meet in person.  The chair will be required to attend the 2013 Annual Meeting. Term of appointment: July 1, 2012 through July 31, 2013 (or until dismissed by the Board).
