The committee met on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at 3 p.m. The committee entertained a request from Eleanor Cook to take over the management of the AcqWeb website and the AcqNet list. Members discussed whether this would be a good project for the section, and if so, how it could be done. Suggestions including having the at large members assume these roles. The committee will continue discussions and touch base with Eleanor closer to ALA Annual. The committee spent the majority of meeting time discussing the section's self-review document. With minor tweaks and some additional information added, the review will be completed following Midwinter and submitted to the ALCTS Organization & Bylaws committee.

Policy and Planning Committee
The committee met on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1 p.m. The committee reviewed the schedule for the AS section committee reviews for 2014. The only committees that will be reviewed are the Nominating and the Leadership in Library Acquisitions Award committees.
Based on feedback the P&P Committee received in the last review cycle, it was decided that the review cycle for these two groups would be pushed up and completed before Annual Conference 2014. Currently the questionnaire would go to the current chairs in the spring and the formal review would occur starting with Annual and extending into the fall with a decision by Midwinter Meeting 2015. As these committees are normally single year appointments, the committee completing the form is not the committee on board during the review. Also since these groups are very different from regular committees the questionnaire will be modified.
The questionnaire for interest groups will also be modified to better suit their reviews. A small group of P&P members will revise that form by Annual Conference so it will be ready for next year’s reviews.

The committee met on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at 1 p.m. The committee reviewed the Transforming Technical Services guide proposal. The proposal was well received; the committee suggested a few edits. The editors (also committee members) have since submitted a revised proposal, which we will send on to the ALCTS Division Publications Committee.
Once approved, the editors will release a general call for chapter authors in addition to reaching out to specific individuals. Chapter authors will have one year to submit completed work.
The committee reviewed the status of proposals and publications that have passed through the committee in the last five years. Robin will follow-up on finding additional information on “lost” publications and proposals. We will develop a tracking system for publications and proposals moving forward.
The Guide to Budgeting proposal is still outstanding. Robin was tasked with following up with the authors to move things forward and establish a timeline.
The committee will meet virtually before and during Annual Conference.
