Minding the Gap: Generational Issues in Recruitment and the Work Place
This program explores generational differences encountered by libraries and offers suggestions for ways librarians and staff of all generations can work better together, recruit new staff members and meet the needs of their multigenerational constituencies. Librarians from all types and sizes of libraries, working in all areas and at all levels of the organization, will benefit from Lynne Lancaster's well-researched, insightful, and highly entertaining presentation on what happens when the generations collide at work. Additional insights and personal experiences will be provided by a librarian representing a younger generation and by an administrator engaged in an initiative to recruit the next generation of professionals. Come and learn what makes each of us tick-differently.
