Composition

Leadership of the Digital Preservation Interest Group consists of co-chairs elected from the membership at large, serving two-year terms.

Origin

Today's Digital Preservation Interest Group evolved out of the now defunct Preservation and Reformatting Section's Management Committee's Digital Preservation: Managing Digital Objects Discussion Group. In 2008–09 the Preservation and Reformatting Section changed its structure eliminating some committees and instituting interest groups to replace discussion groups.

Get Involved

ALCTS values committed and active committee members. All ALA members are welcome to serve the Digital Preservation Interest Group by suggesting topics of discussion, offering presentations, and by serving in its leadership.
