Preconference at 2010 Annual Conference
Taming the Licensing Tiger:
New Formats, New Standards, New Challenges
Friday, June 25, 2010 (Full Day 8:30am-5pm) | Register Now
Licensing—it’s not just for serials anymore! The rise in popularity of e-books and streaming media results in acquisitions and collection development librarians needing to examine the impact of new licensing models on their collections and workflows. This workshop for license managers with some experience will cover new formats, emerging standards (DLF-ERMi, SERU, ONIX-PL) and their impact on policies and procedures; staffing and workflow; and negotiations—both local and consortial. Event Code: ALC2
