Kuali OLE: Developing & Implementing a Community Source LMS

an ALCTS Program

Monday, June 25, 2012 | 8-10 AM

Content area: Transforming: Virtual Space

Partners from the Kuali OLE (Open Library Environment) project will demonstrate the latest release of OLE software, which will allow libraries to develop workflows breaking away from print-based models and reflecting the changing nature of library materials. Features include: a ‘format-agnostic’ document store that can include structured content (e.g. MARCXML) and unstructured content (e.g. PDF licenses); workflow tools (e.g. action lists, batch-processing tools); and integration tools. Partners will discuss migration and implementation plans.

Speakers:

  • Beth Picknally Camden, Goldstein Director of Information Processing, University of Pennsylvania Libraries
  • James Mouw, Associate University Librarian for Collection Services, The University of Chicago Library
