Brittle Book Strategies for the 21st Century
an ALCTS program
Sunday, June 24 | 4:00-5:30pm
Content area: Transforming: E-Books and Collections
The brittle program landscape has changed with the growing acceptance of digital surrogates as replacements for the printed book and the increasing scarcity of microfilming programs. Different options are available to Preservation Librarians managing brittle book programs today than were available ten years ago. This panel discussion will facilitate the discussion of best practices, workflow tools, and decision making criteria used by Preservation Librarians at academic institutions.
