Middle Managers in the 21st Century Library

Tuesday, 4/19/2016 - Wednesday, 4/20/2016

What are the opportunities and challenges currently facing middle managers in technical services? The middle manager must be both a practitioner involved in the day-to-day work and a leader for the library. What challenges does this present for staff management and for the identity of the manager? How does the manager balance their operational and strategic roles? How will the middle manager’s role change as technical services changes?
