To support educational efforts in the areas of acquisitions and collection management, from fundamentals training and library school education to all types of continuing education; identifies educational needs and opportunities, and makes recommendations to the CMS and AS executive committees; organizes and facilitates the creation of online educational events, including transitioning successful in-person programming to online formats; addresses issues related to the education and recruitment of acquisitions and collection management professionals; establishes liaisons and partnerships, as appropriate, between the committee and other groups having similar interests.
