ALCTS Member Reception
The ALCTS Member Reception will take place on Saturday, January 16, 6–8pm at the Omni Parker House in the Rooftop Ballroom. Take this opportunity to network with your ALCTS colleagues, meet new colleagues, and say hello to ALCTS President Mary Case, ALCTS President-Elect Cynthia Whitacre, and ALCTS Executive Director Charles Wilt. Newcomers and those interested in joining ALCTS are encouraged to attend. The reception is generously funded by YBP.
CIP Advisory Group
The CIP Advisory Group will meet on Saturday, January 16 from 10:30 to 12 noon at the Boston Exhibition Center in room 104 A/B. Scheduled speakers include:
- Karl Debus-Lopez, Chief, U.S. General Division; Acting Chief, U.S. and Publisher Liaison Division, Library of Congress will provide CIP highlights for 2009 and an update on the 2006 CIP Survey Recommendations.
- Angela Murphy-Walters Senior Cataloging Specialist, Children's Literature Section, Library of Congress, will provide an update on children's literature and scope changes.
- David Williamson, Automation Specialist, Library of Congress and Camilla Williams, CIP Program Specialist, Library of Congress will discuss LC's ONIX/MARC Converter and provide a demonstration.
