Letters from ALCTS

From the Editor

After a year filled with planning and anticipation, ALCTS’ 50th Anniversary is here. LRTS is also turning 50. This issue of ANO contains information regarding the ALCTS 50th Anniversary celebration and events that took place at the ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. | MORE

From the President

I look forward to working with you in the coming years. We still have a lot of work to accomplish, and it is essential that you give your best to achieve the future that our profession and our patrons deserve. Are you with me? | MORE

From the Office

We are the masters of our own design, then we are also masters of our own structure. No one, in ALA or outside, has told us how to organize ourselves, so we are free to re-invent. And we have done so with some success. | MORE

The office apologizes for the late delivery of this issue of ANO. The tardiness is due to the myriad tasks before, during, and after Conference and the 50th celebrations. Please keep an eye out in mid- to late-August for the next issue, which will be jam-packed with reports and recaps of the events in DC.
