Are you interested in serving on an ALCTS division or section committee? Then plan on attending "ALCTS Committee Volunteer Opportunities and Responsibilities," a session organized by the ALCTS Leadership Development Committee during the ALA Midwinter Meeting in San Diego on Saturday, January 10, 2004 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the U.S. Grant Hotel, Ballroom B.

The elected officers who are responsible for making committee appointments for 2004-2005 will discuss the committee appointment process and highlight the opportunities available for ALCTS members. Presenters will include Carol Pitts Diedrichs, ALCTS President-Elect, the Vice-Chairs of the Acquisitions, Cataloging and Classification, Collection Management and Development, Preservation and Reformatting, and Serials sections, and the Council of Regional Groups chair.

Non-members interested in joining ALCTS are welcome to attend.

Attendees will have ample opportunity to meet the presenters! Please attend and learn how to become active in your professional organization.
