[Note: The CCS ballot incorrectly stated that one member-at-large should be elected. In fact, two members-at-large are elected each year for the CCS Executive Committee. After conferring with the ALCTS Executive Committee, the chair and chair-elect of CCS, and the chair of the CCS Nominating Committee, it was decided to award the second member-at-large position to the candidate with the second highest vote total. This was decided as the best option from several suggested. We apologize for this error.]

Bylaws RevisionsThe ALCTS Board of Directors approved the following changes to the ALCTS Bylaws, and Division members were asked to approve these changes. Replacement text that was approved is

01. Article IX, Committees. Section 1. Standing and Annual Committees. 02.
(e) Review. The Organization and Bylaws Committee shall review each standing Association-level committee on a regular schedule as per the ALCTS Committee and Discussion Group Review Schedule and concerning the committee’s relevance and success in forwarding the mission and priorities of the Association. ADOPTED 03. Article IV, Nominations and Elections. Section 2. Nominating Committee 04.
(c) Duties. The Nominating Committee shall present at least two candidates for each office to be filled at the next election. It shall select the candidates in such manner as to assure as broad a representation as possible of different types and sizes of libraries, types of service, and of the geographic distribution of the membership. In the event that the Nominating Committee is unable to submit a full slate, the board shall be apprised prior to the Midwinter Meeting. ADOPTED |
