Juries

A jury is a group of people appointed for the purpose of judging criteria for the bestowing of an award. A jury must have at least three members. It is also recommended that juries be kept small in order to facilitate their work.

In ALCTS, juries are convened to administer the eight awards presented by ALCTS and its sections. Juries are appointed so that if desired they may begin their work at the Annual Conference one year before the award is given. Juries' reports are due to the ALCTS Board at the Midwinter Meeting immediately prior to the Annual Conference at which the award is given.
