History: The YALSA Board suspended the Long Range Planning Committee at Annual, 1993. At that time, they wished to determine the new responsibilities, if any, of the committee, since the committee had developed a long range plan, which the Board adopted at Midwinter, 1993. The committee was reactivated by President Judy Druse in September, 1993. The YALSA Board approved the name change from Long Range Planning Committee to Strategic Planning Committee at the 1997 Annual Conference.
