Membership:  One Convenor, and discussion group meetings are open to all YALSA members.

Qualifications: YALSA members who must be able to attend both the Midwinter Meeting and Annual Conference of ALA.

Term of Office: No term

Function: A discussion group for YALSA members who teach literature for young adults and/or are interested in teaching literature for young adults. The purpose of this discussion group is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, syllabi, and information.

History: Following the procedures as set in the YALSA Bylaws, Susan Rosenzweig presented a petition with 44 names requesting that this discussion group be established, at the Board meeting held June 29, 1993 at the Annual Conference in New Orleans. The Board voted to establish the discussion group with Susan Rosenzweig as its convenor.
