34th Annual National Library Legislative Day
Briefing Day

Description:  This full day of issue briefings will inform and prepare participants for Congressional visits the next day, May 14th.

Tentative Schedule:

  • 8:00-9:00 am     Coffee and breakfast, nametag and folder pick-up
    (State coordinators pick-up bags with folders and distribute folders to participants. Please see your state coordinator to collect the folders for your Hill visits)

  • 9:00-9:20 am     Welcome and announcements
    (President, DCLA; President, ALA)

  • 9:20-10:00 am     Fast track summary: hot issues and key messages for Congress
    (Office of Government Relations staff)

  • 10:00-10:15 am   BREAK

  • 10:15-11:00 am   Plenary Session - Appropriations

  • 11:00-11:15 am   BREAK         

  • 11:15-12:00 pm   Plenary Session         

                          
  • 12:00-2:00 pm     LUNCH ON YOUR OWN
