The American Library Association Annual Conference is the world’s largest and most comprehensive library conference and exhibition. During the conference, RUSA offers day-long educational seminars, panel presentations, small group discussions, and many other opportunities for continuing education.
The ALA Midwinter Meeting is convened for the primary purpose of expediting the business of the Association. At Midwinter, RUSA committees meet to work on their objectives, but there are also small group discussions and other opportunities for continuing education.
To aid in planning events for Annual Conference, a search application has been created to view data on past programs since 1993. Use the Archive of Past Programs link at left to access it. If your program committee is interested in creating a podcast of your event, instructions for doing so can be found under Professional Tools section of the RUSA Web site.
As they become available, watch for RUSA's Professional Development Online offerings. See link at left.
The RUSA membership committee has initiated tracking volunteers who travel to library science schools to provide information about RUSA to students. The calendar of these visits can be reached using the link at left.
