ALA PIO launches redesigned library funding Web site

Members invited to share funding stories

CHICAGO – The American Library Association (ALA) Public Information Office has redesigned its Library Funding Web site.

Launched in 2004 in response to budget cuts, layoffs and facility closures, the Library Funding Web site is a valuable resource that provides librarians, library supporters and members of the media with a searchable database of news stories. The site also has a section devoted to school libraries.

Under the “Funding Impacts by State” section, users can fill out a simple form to have their important information included and read about other issues in their region.

Questions regarding the site can be directed to John Amundsen, PIO Administrative Assistant at jamundsen@ala.org.
