AASL Executive Director featured on PIO blog

CHICAGO – Julie Walker, executive director of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), is featured in the latest podcast from the ALA Public Information Office (PIO) blog, Visibility @ your library.

The interview can be accessed by clicking on http://www.pio.ala.org/visibility.

Walker discusses issues addressed in the ALA’s upcoming State of America’s Libraries Report, which is being released as part of National Library Week (April 13-19), and touches on such topics as School Library Media Month, the role of school libraries and library media specialists and important legislative initiatives.

This blog provides librarians and library supporters with news and information about important communications issues. In addition, Visibility @ your library offers useful tips and tools for PR practitioners to help support their efforts, as well as the latest editions of the ALA News.
