The American Dream Starts @ your library

The American Dream Starts @ your library® grant, developed by the ALA and funded through Dollar General Literacy Foundation, awarded funding to 34 public libraries to add or expand literacy services for adult English language learners. Libraries of all kinds are encouraged to visit the American Dream Starts @ your library® toolkit at www.americandreamtoolkit.org, for resources, service models, and examples of best practice collected from libraries currently offering literacy services for new Americans.

The program is administered by the Office for Literacy and Outreach Services (OLOS).
