ALA Ambassadors

ALA Ambassadors registration is now closed.

Nearly 150 long-time attendees have enrolled to be a part of this new program to help make first time attendees to Annual Conference feel more welcome and get more out of their conference-going experience.

If you have signed up to be an Ambassador, please look for an email confirmation from John Chrastka, ALA Manager for Membership Development, around February 14, 2007

Ambassadors will paired up with first-timers based on the interests and experience areas that you indicate. We will confirm your availability again by email in late May 2007. You will then receive an email from us in early June 2007 with the names and contact information of first-timers, along with specific questions for you to answer, and tips for your welcome email. We will also ask you to schedule your 1-hour time slot at the first-time attendee booth. The number of individuals you will be asked to contact will depend on the number of first-timers who register for the service, but will not exceed a 1-hour commitment.

If you have questions about the program or wish to be added to the Ambassador “wait list”, please email John at jchrastka@ala.org

Information about Annual Conference is available on the wiki at http://wikis.ala.org/annual2007 and on the official website, www.ala.org/annual.
