First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is an annual celebration of the contributions of our nation's libraries, librarians and library workers to promote library use and support at all types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate.
Also, be sure to celebrate School Library Media Month, ALA-APA's National Library Workers Day (Tuesday, April 14) and YALSA's Support Teen Literature Day (Thursday, April 16.)
