"Books with Bite®" during Teen Read WeekTM 2008 Teen Read Week is an initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), which is the fastest-growing division of the American Library Association. 2008 marks the 11th anniversary of Teen Read Week! The main theme for the Teen Read Week initiative is "Read For The Fun Of It," and a sub-theme that changes each year serves as a basis for developing programs in schools, public libraries, and bookstores.
