Federal & Armed Forces Libraries Round Table (FAFLRT)

Federal & Armed Forces Libraries Round Table
American Library Association
50 E. Huron St.
Chicago, IL 60611-2795

Welcome from the President

Welcome to the Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Roundtable (FAFLRT)!

Federal and Armed Forces Libraries represent a wide variety of libraries: research, law, school, and public. Librarians working for the Federal government have opportunities that span the library field: from direct services to the public to in-depth research support for America’s military and civilian services.

FAFLRT members work all over the world and have long, distinguished careers in public service. Our members are some of the best librarians in the business and the Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Round Table is their place for networking, communication, and professional development.

Membership for students and retired federal librarians is free and the Round Table has developed a successful series of programs to inform new and incoming library professionals about careers in federal libraries.

FAFLRT members want all of ALA to benefit from our work. If you want to get involved and contribute to our community, let FAFLRT know. Feel free to send your ideas and suggestions to FAFLRT using our online feedback form. Your brilliant ideas are always welcome!
