Picturing the Story: Teen Readers Get Graphic @ your library

The Young Adult Literature Symposium Preconference is sold out. The waiting list for this event is closed.

This day-long preconference addresses graphic formats, teen readers, and training for libraries where the two are being brought together.  Graphic novels, manga, informational and imaginative texts driven by visual components, and changes in critical receptions of these literary options will each receive the attention of authorities in the field, including 2007 Printz Winner Gene Luen Yang.  The day’s offerings are designed to assist collection developers, public library programmers, and school curricula developers, as well as providing trainers with material to use for local workshops aimed at helping libraries to Get Graphic.

Genre Luncheon

The Genre Luncheon is sold out. The waiting list for this event is closed.

Enjoy lunch and an opportunity to mingle with a variety of authors from different genres (and receive autographed books!) on Saturday, November 8.
