
Date of Establishment: August 1982
Membership: 6, including Chair. The membership shall be composed of the President of YALSA, who shall serve as Chair, the President-Elect, the Past-President, the YALSA Councilor, the Executive Director, and the Fiscal Officer.
Qualifications: YALSA members who must be able to attend both the Midwinter Meeting and Annual Conference of ALA.
Term of Office: According to the elected terms of the offices.
Function: To review agendas for YALSA Board of Directors meetings and make recommendations regarding items under consideration by the Board; to review and recommend priorities for Division activities and programs; and to act on behalf of the Board when items require action prior to the next scheduled Board meeting. This committee shall evaluate the performance of the Executive Director and communicate the evaluation to the ALA Executive Offices.
History: This and the Budget and Finance Committee supersede the Program and Budget Development Committee. Position of Fiscal Officer was added in 2001 by vote of the membership.
