An independent, international nonprofit organization - in
partnership with Amnesty International and academic institutions.
Features information on thousands of companies, more than 160
countries, and 150 issues. It links to thousands of publications,
reports, and guides, including reports of corporate misconduct and
examples of "best practice." It also has extensive annotated lists of
related sites.
Corporate Social Research Center
The Center is featured in SocialFunds.com, which calls itself the
"largest personal finance site devoted to socially responsible
investing." It provides news and profiles (some for free, others for a
fee) for most public companies.
CorpWatch
Corpwatch.org provides news, opinion papers, and alerts on global corporate activities.
2007 World's Most Ethical Companies
This ranking arose from an evaluation of "more than 5,000 companies across 30 separate industries looking for true ethical leadership" in areas such as litigation and conflict resolution, corporate citizenship, pan-industry participation, and governance. Includes a description of methodology, a list of winning companies, and brief additional material about selected winners. From Ethisphere Magazine.

Browse or search the Alerts & News or Business Report Databases to check on the reputation of businesses. There is also a Charity Reports and Standards for charities, and instructions how to file a complaint.
Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes
Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes track the financial performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide. The DJSI family currently comprises global, European, Eurozone, North American and US benchmarks.
Federal Contractor Misconduct Database
In the absence of a centralized federal database listing instances of misconduct, the Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is providing such data. They believe that it will lead to improved contracting decisions and public access to information. Includes LIST of TOP 50 CONTRACTORS and Instances of Misconduct (since 1995-)

- Center for the Study of Ethics in Professions
The Institute provides over 850 codes of ethics for professional societies, corporations, government, and academic institutions (primarily from the United States).
Creating a Code of Ethics for Your Organization
Links to resources to assist individuals and groups in writing a code of ethics. Provides guidance in writing one as well as links to essays on ethics, sample codes and contacts for ethics consultants.
European Corporate Governance Institute
The European Corporate Governance Institute seeks to foster accountability in companies, institutions and enterprises with balanced corporate economic and social goals. It is a great source of the full texts of corporate governance codes.
- Business Ethics: Corporate Responsibility Report
This e-journal includes annual Business Ethics Awards, given to companies that support diverse social needs. Some current articles are available for free; most articles are available for a fee.
CRO - Corporate Responsibility Officer
CRO magazine produces a list of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens. It ranks and recognizes publicly listed U.S. companies that excel at serving a variety of stakeholders.
Ethical Consumer
Each issue of Ethical Consumer magazine contains 4 new buyer's guides, examining common consumer products from an ethical angle. Covers mainly British firms.
