RAW is the best known and oldest accounting stop on the Web. Intended for the academic community, it has useful features for students and researchers. The links range between departmental Home Pages, "big 5," accounting organizations, service providers, as well as career opportunities. Some tax information is also available.
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is a professional association for accountants. Their Web site gives association news, developments, and career opportunities, as well as links to selected sites.
A commercial source with a capital "C." This site is directed to the professional accountant who is looking for news, products, and professional opportunities. For connection to a vast list of international, federal and state information (including discussions of changes in tax law) first click the Resource Library Tab (near the top of the home page), then click Resources/Tools. Other tabs under the Resource Library will guide you to lists of associations, educational information, and the glossary. Limited use for academic, but may be useful for public libraries.
Created by Schmidt Enterprises, LLC, this site is a comprehensive index of tax, accounting, and related resources on the Internet. It is designed to be a starting point for people who are searching the Web for tax and accounting information and services and is easy to navigate.

The Statistics of Income (SOI) program produces data files compiled from tax and information returns filed with the IRS. This site provides downloadable files of statistics from researchers looking for projections and aggregated data regarding corporations, individuals, international, estates/wealth/gifts, employment taxes, exempts/employee, plans, sole proprietorships, excise taxes, and partnerships. It also includes full-text files from SOI Bulletins, SOI Research Papers, and taxpayer assistance.
Despite the commercial messages, Bankrate.com’s tax page provides many handy rate pages such as standard deductions, tax news, tips and tax forms.
