Texas Library Association Adds to Century Scholarship
Interface Volume 28 Number 1, Spring, 2006. Interface is the quarterly newsletter published by the ASCLA division of the ALA. In an effort to attract Century Scholarship winners to Texas library schools and libraries, the Texas Library Association (TLA) is offering a $2,000 scholarship to match the ASCLA Century Scholarship.

Texas Library Association Adds to Century Scholarship
In an effort to attract Century Scholarship winners to Texas library schools and libraries, the Texas Library Association (TLA)
is offering a $2,000 scholarship to match the ASCLA Century Scholarship.
Who Is Eligible
In order to receive a TLA Century scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be an ALA Century Scholar
- Be enrolled in an ALA-recognized master's degree program in library and information studies at a Texas university
- Agree to work in a Texas library for two years following completion of degree requirements for the master's program
- Be a member of the Texas Library Association.
The award is payable in two equal installments. Upon receipt of application and verification of enrollment for the fall
semester, a check for $1,000 will be forwarded. The second payment of $1,000 will be made after receipt of verification
of enrollment for the spring semester.
