Lincoln Trail Library System Offers Digital Books
In an effort to attract Century Scholarship winners to Texas library schools and libraries, the Texas Library Association (TLA)
is offering a $2,000 scholarship to match the ASCLA Century Scholarship.
Who Is Eligible
Lincoln Trail Library System (LTLS) in east-central Illinois recently released MyMediaMall, a digital library that allows
patrons to browse, check out, and download digital audiobooks and e-books any time of day from anywhere in the world.
The new online service, being offered by more than 90 LTLS libraries, is available to their patrons through a partnership
with libraries in the North Suburban Library System. The new digital collection includes hundreds of titles from popular
novels by Nora Roberts, Catherine Coulter, and Dean Koontz, to the classic works of Shakespeare, Dickens, Twain, and even
Homer. Many new titles will be added each week. The collection also includes children’s and educational titles, and a wide
variety of nonfiction including business, history, self-help, and travel. Once downloaded, items may be transferred to
portable devices or burned to CDs. When the lending period is up, digital books are automatically returned—so there are
never any late fees! Visit MyMediaMall.
